10-Axis 42mm Swiss-type Lathe with multi-B-Axis Turret

Diamond 42CSL comes with 42mm turning diameter—an unusually large spindle size for Swiss-type machines. It is not merely a “size-up” however, Diamond 42CSL is a 10-axis machine that can be ordered with powered VDI turret that can driven up to 4 (patent pending) B-axis tool stations. Diamond 42CSL surpasses others in both in size and capability.

B-Axis Tool Stations on Turret

Fully programmable and capable of rotating 360° in 0.001° increments, the 4 B-Axis station on the turret can be used perform milling and drilling operations at any angle on both the main and sub-spindle. Each station can hold up to 2 ER25 live tools, 1 on each end.

Two Y-Axis for Simultaneous Turning

Both tool units can cut a part on the same spindle or independently work on parts on main and sub-spindles at the same time. Significant reduction in cycle time is assured.

C-Axis on Both Main and Sub-Spindles

Both the main and sub-spindle are equipped with C-axis as standard equipment for contouring operations.

Integrated Spindle Motors

Main and sub-spindle are built-in type, integrated into motor housings. There’s no part that can’t benefit from the greatly reduced vibration and well-calibrated thermal characteristics.

- Up to 6 OD Tool Stations

  - Up to 12 Axial Mill/Drill Tool Stations
  - For the coup de grâce, up to 4 B-Axis Tool Stations (Each can rotate 360°, and can hold 1 live tool on each end
